Spring 2022 Update

Greetings!

Prayer is flourishing in the National Day of Prayer Task Force! There is a deep sense of urgency, prompting, and stirring from the Holy Spirit throughout our network, and thousands upon thousands of events are being planned across our nation as you read this! We are seeing a new season of supernatural growth, renewal, and refreshing.

As a faithful supporter of the National Day of Prayer Task Force, I trust that you know the value and power of God’s people, on their knees, appealing to Heaven. By public law, our President, on the first Thursday of May, proclaims a National Day of Prayer. As Christians, we have the privilege, and we ‘get to’ respond to that call, rally believers, and pray for America. We ‘get to’ steer and steward thousands of events in communities across our country, from the east coast to the Hawaiian Islands and beyond.

Prayer is happening, not only on the first Thursday of May, but every month on our Pray for America Call, every week with our partners at ADF on our Thursday Generational Wins Prayer Call with Marcus Harris, and every day on our National Prayer Line. We are rallying prayer continually, lifting up effective, fervent prayer 24/7, 365 days every year – and we know that these prayers are availing much!

But with much prayer, often comes much resistance. Our families are continually under attack in our culture. Influences such as the liberal media are constantly taking swipes at, demeaning, and chipping away at our Christian values, as we seek to raise our children and grandchildren up in His ways. As a Church, we act as if we are in crisis, when Christ has not left His throne. We – as a country – cannot survive without turning back to God.

Regardless of the challenges that we face, we KNOW that as God’s people pray, mountains are moved, and the darkness attempting to overtake our country is being pushed back. As the Apostle Paul taught us, the ‘weapons of our warfare’, especially the weapon of prayer, are mighty in God for the tearing down of strongholds of the enemy – and that enemy trembles when we pray.

While the enemy trembles, we do not. We are stirred up as we stand up and lift up bold prayers, not in a spirit of fear and timidity, but Exalting the Lord in the victory that God has already provided. But unfortunately, this has been a very lean season financially for our ministry. Mandates, challenges, and shortages have left our nation feeling like we are lacking and operating in a spirit of scarcity. We see hoarding instead of giving, but we are so thankful for generous hearts like yours who have faithfully given, not just to keep us going – but growing. You have made the Lord your Refuge, your Dwelling Place, and your Shield. Thank you for continuing to Exalt the Lord with us this year.

He Has Established Us through His great authority and power, and has lavished us with His glorious riches and abundant grace. As we read in James 1:17, “Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights …” and we are grateful that you have shared your gifts with us, joining us as we mobilize unified public prayer for America every day.

Imagine what our nation would look like if God’s people were NOT praying. Will you partner with us once again by giving a generous gift to mobilize MORE people to pray?

With the National Day of Prayer just weeks away, NOW is the time to act. Pray with us, promote prayer in your community, and join with us on Thursday evening, May 5th through our National Broadcast. Serving Him with gladness,

Kathy Branzell
