Greetings prayer partner,
We have been praying for you as we stepped into 2026 and invited you to join us in this “Season to Seeking.” Yes, we seek the Lord every day for His will and purposes but we are encouraging you to take specific intentional time to seek Him at the beginning of this milestone year of celebrating His love and light guiding and guarding America for 250 years. We seek to glorify and thank Him throughout the year and we know the best place to start is in our own heart, seeking Him one heartbeat at a time.
Sometimes our goals seem too big, but God calls us to walk with Him. Step by step He leads us to and through the seconds, situations, and seasons of life in His love, power, and faithfulness. If you are reading this, we know that you have so many stories you could share; a lifetime of triumphs that began as trials. We learn looking back but live moving forward. Your past does not define you, but what you have learned from God shapes you. Your Potter is forming you daily in the character of Christ through His love and that is the joy and strength we need to hold on to as we take our first steps into 2026.
Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your path straight.” NAS
The word “acknowledge” in verse five means to “inquire” to seek God’s Word, will and way before making a decision or choosing your own direction. You may be very intelligent, with years of education and experience, but only God knows the plans He has for you, the blessed and bright way He has prepared each day, for His glory. It makes perfect sense to save yourself a lot of wandering, worry, and wondering by simply seeking Him to set you on a straight path filled with good works He has prepared and answered prayers you have been seeking.
Pray before you plan, seek and submit to Him before you strategize. This is the beginning of the year, God’s timing is perfect and we only make a mess of things when we get in a hurry and attempt to run ahead of Him. Humble yourself and wait on the Lord. He leads; we follow. Before you know it, we will be flipping the pages of our calendar but for today, begin the habit of seeking Him. Pray and dream with God and let Him fill your heart, as you fill the pages of your prayer journal. Be willing to walk in His ways, seeking Him with all of your heart. Our journey continues…
Would you please join us in prayer?
Heavenly Father, You are the author of my days. You gave me life and life more abundant, thank You. My life belongs to You, You are my Lord, my Shepherd, my Redeemer and reason for living. Please help me to stay in the shadow of Your wings, to not run ahead of You or procrastinate in doubt or fear and fall behind. I desire to do Your will in every moment of my life and so I surrender all to You, submitting any earthly desires for Your eternal purposes. I continue to ask You to align my will to Your will, that I would walk blamelessly and blessed in the peace and victory that is already mine through my Savior, Jesus Christ, in every beat of my heart. Please speak Lord as I linger and listen for You to guide me to Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
