Members, pastors and officials from local churches and organizations in Tarrant County will meet here in Bedford to join National Day of Prayer teams across the nation to lead our local communities in worship, acknowledging the need of our Almighty God's sovereignty through prayer of faith, hope and encouragement.

Plan to join in the Community National Day of Prayer Observance will be held at the Bell County Historic Courthouse on the North Entrance. The NDP starts at 10 a.m. with Proclamations, Prayer, Honor Guard, and Singing. This is an annual event to be enjoyed. 

Presenters are Central Texas Republican Women and Salado Area Republican Women, Bell County Sheriffs Department Honor Guard, and Ms. Kathleen Brown, soloist.

The First Baptist Church Bertram will open their sanctuary doors from 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM for prayer.  There will be prayer guides from NDP, prayer for our state, county, city, and church available.  Church leaders will sign up for one-hour blocks to make sure someone is available.

Blanco Methodist Church will host an observance of the National Day of Prayer in our Prayer Chapel. We'll be praying for our government, our homes, our churches and one another in an intimate setting.

The Mayor's Prayer Breakfast will be from 7:30 am to 8:30 am at The Center Kronkosky Place at 17 Old San Antonio Road, Boerne, TX 78006. Tickets can be bought at Boerne churches for $10 for breakfast catered by Bill Miller. Music will be provided by Hearts' Home Acoustic Guitar Store and the Boerne Bible Church choir. Mayor Frank Ritchie will present the city's proclamation and give a message. Prayer will be offered and Bibles given out to distribute in 2024.

At noon on the Boerne Main Plaza at 100 N. Main Street, we will gather at the gazebo. Music will be presented by various children's choirs, the national prayer will be recited together, and the Governor's and Mayor's Texas and Boerne proclamations will be read. Prayer will be offered for our community, state, and nation by citizens serving in Boerne. Bibles will be distributed for use in 2024.

The National Day of Prayer will be at the Burnet County Courthouse on East Washington and South Pierce in front of the "We Serve" monument with the sword on the south side of the Courthouse. It will start at 7 am and end at 7:45 am.

The National Prayer will be read. The Presidential and Governor's Declarations will be read if available. There will be the pledge and the national anthem. It is a solemn gathering for heartfelt prayer for our nation.

Our keynote speaker this year will be Reggie Davis, former 49ers running back and offensive line coach and presently, running back coach for the Arlington Renegades, who are a part of the new USFL.  At 12:00, we begin our program with welcomes and proclamations by City and County officials.  Our keynote speaker will address the gathering and then our invited guest, specific to the areas of need, will begin their prayers.

We advertise with all the local churches and invite them to participate.  We send emails and reminders to our contact list and we maintain a website.

We pray for large participation in the 7:00 PM Thursday, May 2nd observance of the Garland National Day of Prayer at Lavon Drive Baptist. For over 20 years, we prayed at noon on the first Thursday in May. This year, we moved to a different time to attract many who could not attend because of work or school. Three years ago, we experienced a change of venue from the Atrium in downtown Garland to Lavon Baptist at 1520 Lavon Drive. Despite any change we had to make, we have prayed in unity during critical times (the terrorist attack at the Culwell Center, the COVID pandemic, and tornado destruction in our city). This year, we invite all residents of all ages to pray that the Lord would turn our darkness, with political upheaval, economic challenges, and the lingering effects of COVID-19, into glorious light.

The Lufkin Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance will host the National Daybof Prayer service on 050224 at the Lufkin Civic Center.

The program will include ministry leader participation, City officials will present a proclamation, music from students of Lufkin High School music department and food trucks will be on site for attendees to purchase lunch items. The event is open and free to the public to attend.

Significance of the National Day of Prayer

The National Day of Prayer has great significance for us as a nation as it enables us to recall and to teach the way in which our founding fathers sought the wisdom of God when faced with critical decisions. It stands as a call for us to humbly come before God, seeking His guidance for our leaders and His grace upon us as a people. The unanimous passage of the bill establishing the National Day of Prayer as an annual event, signifies that prayer is as important to our nation today as it was in the beginning.

Like Thanksgiving or Christmas, this day has become a national observance placed on all Hallmark calendars and observed annually across the nation and in Washington, D.C. Every year, local, state, and federal observances were held from sunrise in Maine to sunset in Hawaii, uniting Americans from all socio-economic, political and ethnic backgrounds in prayer for our nation. It is estimated that over two million people attended more than 30,000 observances – organized by approximately 40,000 volunteers. At state capitols, county court houses, on the steps of city halls, and in schools, businesses, churches and homes, people stopped their activities and gathered for prayer.

The city of Rio Grande is uniting with the church and government authorities to pray for the economy, school district, authorities, families, and the entire city. The city will be joined by the fire department, police department, and the school district. There will be a time for the pledge of allegiance and national anthem. Prayer and Praise Gathering at Main Plaza Downtown San Antonio. The  address is 

 1115 N. Main Ave.   Main Plaza is the area in front of the San Fernando Cathedral. Join the Mayor of San Antonio as he reads the 39th proclamation for our great City. Pastors, Business leaders,  a Military delegation,  Police delegation, students from elementary to college will pray and recite Scripture. Prayers in Spanish and English will be represented. Pre Service music begins at 11:30 AM by Sparrow Songs. Chairs are provided, Free Bibles available, water is provided. A prayer tent will be in place by 10:00 AM for anyone in the city to come for personal prayer. Someone will pray for you. A Prayer Walk from First Presbyterian Church to Main Plaza will begin at 10 AM. All are welcome to join!

The Woodlands Methodist Church will be hosting The National Day of Prayer service on Thursday, May 2nd at noon in Robb Chapel located at the south entrance. We will unite our hearts around this year's theme "Lift Up the Word - Lift Up the World" from 2 Samuel 22:29-31 in a time of worship, Word and prayer. Our campus is located at 2200 Lakewoodlands Drive in The Woodlands, Texas.

There will be inspirational worship music, the Roanoke Fire Department Honor Guard will present the colors and members of the Roanoke VFW Post No. 5074 will lead the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. In addition, our local mayors will present proclamations officially declaring “A Day of Prayer” in their respective municipalities to coincide with the National Day of Prayer. We urge our fellow citizens to join us for this important time to raise our hearts and voices in one accord to bring light and hope to our nation through the power of prayer to Almighty God. National Day Of Prayer Event will be held on Thursday, May 2nd, at the Troy, Texas City Hall at 201 E. Main.  The event will be under the John Q. Thompson Pavillion next to City Hall. Please come for this Event as we join hearts and voices in unified prayer for out town and country.

To coincide with the National Day of Prayer, The Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast Steering Committee calls the Tyler community and surrounding area citizens to come together and pray for our City, the county and the nation. Prayer warriors will offer specific prayers for our community and our nation.

Special music and corporate worship time will be provided.
