Lunch is BBQ brisket and chicken with all of the sides and desert. Pastors and church leaders will lead us in prayer for our city, state and nation, followed by prayer around each table to close the event.

Our guest speaker this year is Pastor John Amanchukwu, a nationally known conservative voice for righteousness in America today.

Join our community for the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 7, as we gather on the west lawn of the courthouse in Athens to seek the Lord together. This annual observance invites people across the nation to unite in prayer for our country, leaders, and communities. This year’s theme, “Glorify God Among the Nations – Seeking Him in All Generations” (1 Chronicles 16:24), calls us to declare His glory and faithfully pursue Him across every generation.

Come be a part of this meaningful time of unity, reflection, and prayer as we lift our voices together for our nation and our community.

We will gather in the rotunda of the Texas Capitol at noon. We will have prayer leaders pray through the centers of power. A guitarist will lead us in singing hymns and songs of praise. Programs will be available while quantities last. The event will end at 12:50PM.

You will have to go through Capitol security at any of the public entrances to the Capitol.

There is limited seating in the rotunda so feel free to bring a camp chair if you wish.

Two hours of free parking is available at the Capitol Visitor Center Parking Garage located at 1201 San Jacinto Blvd, Austin, TX 78701. Paid street parking is also available as is paid private lot parking.

The citizens of Van Zandt County will gather on May 7, 2026, at the Van Zandt County (TX) Courthouse to pray for America. the state of Texas and our local county and communities. The prayer service will begin at 12:15 pm and close at 12:45 pm.

The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held across the United States on the first Thursday of May, when people gather to pray for the nation, its leaders, and their local communities .

JHHS students, faculty, staff, and community are all invited to attend a student led service that are in the FCA which we call Bearkats for Christ.  The program will give some history on the National Day of Prayer. It will also included prayers, songs, skits, and devotions.  A guest speaker will give a devotion followed by an alter call.

This year's Cypress Community National Day of Prayer Breakfast will be held on Thursday, May 7th at Creekwood Grill in Cypress, Texas. Everyone is welcome and there is no cost to attend. Doors open at 7am with a buffet breakfast served, followed by the program beginning around 7:30. Together we will sing a couple of hymns, hear from Pastor David Bahn, and spend time in prayer for our nation and for those in leadership at the national, state and local levels. The morning will wrap up about 8:30.

Duty to God is a central focus of the Scouting movement and we are pleased to join hundreds of locations across the nation in calling all faiths to join in prayer simultaneously. Scouts, Scouters, and the whole community are welcome.

Join us on May 7th from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM for a full day of prayer and worship as churches from across our community come together.

We’ll begin the day at 7:00 AM with Drive-Thru Prayer, available until 8:00AM —stop by for prayer, encouragement, and free coffee and breakfast snacks.

Throughout the day, local churches will lead times of prayer and worship, creating space for our community to seek God together.

From 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, the Mineral Wells Ministerial Alliance, along with city leaders, will gather for a special time of focused prayer over our community.

We will close the day with a special evening worship service at 6:00 PM, hosted by Cityview Community Church.

Luz Para Las Naciones Rio is hosting the Annual National Night of Prayer at the kiosko on Britton Avenue.

This event is to lift every part of our community in prayer, from our leaders who shoulder the responsibility of tough decisions, to students who are still discovering their path and preparing to lead the future.

We will gather in Neff's Plaza on the River between Chadborne & Oaks streets.  

We will have a short time of worship & then Pastor from local churches will lead us in praying for various topics. 

Parking available at Freedom Fellowship Church.

In case of rain or high winds we will move inside to Freedom Fellowship church.

We will join others around the nation who will gather to pray for our nation and for the church’s influence with the gospel of salvation which is the only way to bring real and lasting change to the hearts of individuals.

The annual National Day of Prayer for the City of Troy, Texas will be on Thursday, May 7th. It will be held from 12 pm - 1 pm at the John Q. Thompson Pavilion at 201 E Main Street in Troy, Texas next to City Hall. Please join as we gather together for a special time of prayer.

Join Mayor Don Warren for the 35th Annual Mayor's Prayer Breakfast at the W.T. Brookshire Conference Center, 2000 W. Front St., Tyler.  We will spend time in worship and prayer. Free Admission but a love offering will be taken.  Doors open at 6:30 a.m. and the program will be from 7 to 8 a.m. Breakfast will be served before the program begins.

Our National Day of Prayer gathering is designed to bring the community together in a spirit of unity, faith, and intentional prayer. The event is structured to include focused, Scripture-based prayers led by multiple individuals, each covering specific areas of influence and need within our community and nation.
