Grace Lutheran Church hosting a 24-hour Prayer Vigil from 7:00pm Wed to 7:00pm Thur in conjunction with the National Day of Prayer.

Springfield United Methodist Church will host a day of prayer for all believers on Thursday, May 7, 2026.

Join with other Christians for the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 7, 2026, to pray for God to provide His unity and peace in America, Maryland, and Montgomery County. As Christ’s ambassadors in Montgomery County, we pray for the power of God’s Spirit bring renewal and flourishing of Christ’s Kingdom into our homes, workplaces, and communities. Together we’ll pray for the work of the Holy Spirit in the people, systems and institutions that give shape to our communities!

National Day of Prayer: The event is from 0700-0800, with doors opening at 0645.

Lord willing, a Bible-reading marathon will be held at the Prince William County Judicial Center, 9311 Lee Avenue, Manassas, Virginia 20110 from 9:00 a.m to 5:0 p.m.  We are looking for volunteers who would like to read for half an hour. Ebenezer United Methodist Church's sanctuary will be open for prayer on Thursday, May 7th, from 9am-9:00pm. Come in at your leisure and spend some time in prayer. Everyone is welcome.

To commemorate the occasion the Historic Sanctuary will be open from 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM for those who wish to come in and pray quietly.

At 6:00 PM there will be a Prayer Service held in the Historic Sanctuary.

Every year, we pray and seek the Lord for the National Day of Prayer theme that will guide our year and unite the tens of thousands of prayer gatherings we host from coast to coast. This year on May 7, 2026, we will unite and pray as our new 2026 theme calls us to, “Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations.”

Last year, our theme was inspired by a prayer that the apostle Paul prayed over the believers in Rome.

In 2026, our theme is inspired by a passionate prayer of Thanksgiving, prayed by King David in 1 Chronicles 16 after bringing the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem. This chapter records Israel celebrating the return of the Ark after being separated for 70 years earlier. While God was always watching over Israel and just a prayer away from them and King David, the Ark of the Covenant represented the presence of God having been constructed at the command of God and carried by the Levites with Moses as they wandered and waited to enter the Promised Land and eventually stolen from the tabernacle in Shiloh at their defeat in the battle in Ebenezer. I’ll pause here in its history for now. Thankfully, we have an entire year to unpack 365 days or more of all the prayers and prompts we can glean from this theme.

We are excited and delighted to share the 2026 National Day of Prayer theme with you, and ask that you commit to pray with us each week as God blesses us as we seek Him in Scripture and fervent prayer and glorifying Him through the 2026 National Day of Prayer theme that prompts us to, “Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations.”

This meaningful gathering will feature:
•    Reflections drawn from the wisdom of our nation’s founding documents
•    A stirring musical performance by the award-winning Seton Hall Fife and Drum Corps
•    An update on the Lift Up Loudoun Prayer Project

We meet in front of the Jefferson County Courthouse a little before noon and there are usually at least two pastors present.  The 2026 NDP prayer is recited by all and then individuals pray as they feel led.

Seniors at Hampshire Village Apartments who regularly study the Bible together will gather to pray for their community, the State of Maryland, America and the World.  

Connections at the Well will have a table to hand write cards filled with encouraging prayers for our neighbors recently housed from the living on the streets. Join us for National Day of Prayer at Hurkamp Park in partnership with other local churches and ministries as we gather to pray on the NDOP topics, praise and worship, and fellowship with intentional activities. God has given us a fire within to cancel the fires ravaging our families, neighborhoods, and nation.  We will gather in humility and desperation to call on God’s divine intervention.  By the Blood of Christ on the Altars of our Hearts, we will lift prayers to:

   Alter The Affairs of Humanity to Godly Assignments;
   Alter the Atmosphere to Divine Alignment, and to
   Abolish the  Advancement of Darkness with its Evil Cohorts.

Our mission is “unified public prayer.”  Join us in D.C. as we activate prayer throughout the wards.  It is time to pray!

This is the 75th year that our nation has set aside a day to pray for our country. Join us as we pray for God’s wisdom, guidance, protection, and hope.

May 7th is a call to prayer for the Body of Christ. Ecclesiastes 4:12 says, "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."         There is strength in numbers. COVID-19 Shutdown Begins:

In the midst of Covid 19 / Corona virus shut downs and stay at home orders, practicing social distancing, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, wash your hands frequently and stay informed on the most updated guidance from public health officials. Together, through all of our efforts, we will get through this. Coronavirus may hit us hard at January 30, 2028. Oppose all senate and house appropriations bills this week.
