At Memorial Park (Highway 8 East in Ladysmith, WI) at the Amphitheater and if it rains, at the Veteran's Pavillion (which is only a few steps away).
We open with prayer and worship music, followed by a brief history of the National Day of Prayer, and then go into prayers for the 7 areas of influence by 7 area pastors. Finally, we end with another worship song and then dismiss.
For our event, we send our 200+ invitations to those within the 7 areas of influence (churches, pastors, schools, the media, government officials, law enforcement personnel, businesses, the military, and family).
The event is open to the public.
We ask that attendees bring lawn chairs as the amphitheater has room for lawn chairs and the Veteran's Pavilion has limited seating at picnic tables.

We focus on worship and praise as the Holy Spirit leads and listening to the hearts of others as they pray. We use scripture, songs and prayers to express what God is leading us to do.
There is freedom to come and go as needed.

The Annual National Day of Prayer observance will be on Thursday May 1st from 11:45am – 1:00pm at City Hall outside on the east deck, 730 Washington Avenue in Racine WI.
The theme is: Romans 15:13; "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
The National Anthem and worship will be led by local coordinator Minister Cheryl McCrary. Various pastors, military representatives and city leaders will minister in prayer. An invitation will be provided for children in attendance to recite the “Pledge of Allegiance”. There will be a moment of silence to honor military and their families. A special presentation of “Taps” will be performed followed by closing worship and prayer.
The National Day of Prayer tradition predates the founding of the United States of America, evidenced by the Continental Congress’ proclamation in 1775, setting aside a day of prayer. Our nation has seen the hand and heart of God, as Americans earnestly and fervently pray in faith with hearts of humility for our nation, as we gather in love and unity throughout our communities.
Please invite your family, friends and church to join us as we gather to lift praises to the Lord and pray together.

The community is invited to observe the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 1 at 12 noon in front of the Oneida County Courthouse in Rhinelander. The event will last approximately 35 minutes and will be held rain or shine.
The theme for the 2024 National Day of Prayer is “POUR OUT TO THE GOD OF HOPE AND BE FILLED” and is based on Romans 15:13: Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
This prayer event is not political in nature. In addition to praying for our nation and its leadership, prayer will focus on praying for other areas of influence on our nation: the military, the media, business, education, the church and family. It is estimated that over two million people attend more than 30,000 observances of the National Day of Prayer throughout the United States on an annual basis.
The National Day of Prayer was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. In 1988, the law was unanimously amended by both the House and the Senate and signed into law by President Ronald Reagan on Thursday, May 5, 1988, designating the first Thursday of May as a day of national prayer.
