Music will be supplied by the Shiloh Baptist Church.  Pastors are invited to be Prayer leaders and a testimony about the power of prayer will be offered.  The Mayor will read a proclamation.

Join us for a local gathering of community leaders and citizens as we call out to God for our nation, state, and the local communities of Altavista, Hurt, and Grit.

The sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Altavista will be open to the public from 10 am to 6 pm for those in the community and surrounding areas who wish to pray or light a prayer candle.  Music, light refreshments, and prayer guides available.

To commemorate the occasion the Historic Sanctuary will be open from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM for those who wish to come in and pray quietly.

At 6:00 PM there will be a Prayer Service held in the Historic Sanctuary.

All are welcome and invited.

A local JROTC will post colors.  A local praise and worship team will lead us in music.  Various intercessors will lead us in prayer during the hour.  There will be a time of prayer for individual needs after the event.  Please join the believers of Martinsville/Henry County as we lift our praise and prayers to the Most High God.

The first Thursday in May is the day our nation sets aside to corporately pray for our country’s needs. Burke Community Church will meet at 7pm on May 1 to participate in this National Day of Prayer. Let’s join in prayer! 

Upon entering the church property, look for the building that sticks out into the parking lot the most. We are meeting there - the Auditorium. Look for the balloons!

Gathering for Charlotte County Virginia in Charlotte Court House.  We will gather in the open field with the three crosses across from the county administration buildings.  Rain or shine.  Bring umbrella or folding chair if desired.

There will be a Prayer & Praise gathering with Praise & Worship & United prayer in our Main Sanctuary from 12:00 - 1:00 pm on Thursday May 1st National Day of Prayer.

The National Day of Prayer (2025) will be at the Gleaning For The World Warehouse located at 7539 Stage Road, Concord VA 24538.

We will begin the morning events at 8:30 with a light breakfast.  The event starts at 9:00.  

Community Event- devotional time 7am-7:30 followed by “breakfast finger foods to go”.  8am-8pm prayer vigil in sanctuary and prayer room. All welcome to come and pray for whatever needs God lays on your heart!

Shepherd's Heart Anglican Church is hosting an in-person and live-streamed Communion and Prayer Service from 7:00 - 8:30 pm during Thursday night Prayer & Compline.

Join us for the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 1, from noon to 1:00 p.m. on the Shannon Airport Campus! With God as our audience, we are honored to host this gathering and invite you to pray with us for our community, state, and nation. If you can’t attend, we encourage you to pray from wherever you are.

The National Day of Prayer will be observed in Front Royal, VA on May 1st, 2025, with a community-wide event at the gazebo on Main Street, starting at 6 pm. This event, organized by local interdenominational church leaders and community members, is open to people of all faiths and will include live music, guided prayer, and participation from various community leaders. The event will be focused on unity, hope, and the power of collective prayer, with prayers directed towards specific areas of public life like government, education, and the military.

Thursday, May 1, the Goochland National Day of Prayer event will begin promptly at 12:20 p.m. and will end approximately 1:15 p.m.   The location is the Goochland Courthouse Lawn at 2938 River Road West. In case of rain, it will be at the Goochland Recreation Center 2415 Sandy Hook Road, Goochland, VA 23063.  Everyone is invited for prayer, singing, and fellowship.

The  74th annual National Day of Prayer in Lynchburg will be held at the historic Monument Terrace located downtown at Church and Clay Street. Join us at noon on May 1 for one hour of prayer and praise. Mayor Larry Taylor will read the proclamation for the NDP, to start our time of prayer, and a  local pastor will lead in worship. Several prominent speakers will guide us in praying for  various government agencies "and for all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity".

THE YEARLY MEETING OF THE CONGREGATION! 

We are establishing the Tabernacle at the Prince William County Fair Grounds for the whole region to come. Bring your Sons, your Daughters, your young and your old. We will will have childrens activities, refreshments, and engage them in the importants of community prayer. Children & Family form 5:30pm -6:30pm Childrens prayer and activities to follow. 

Prayer service begins at 7pm-8:15pm with Worship and Prayer lead by Community Pastors. 

The event will be held on the sidewalk and yard of the exterior entrance to the Sanctuary fronting on Atlee Station Road. If there is inclement weather, the event will be held in the Sanctuary.

The Fluvanna Ruritan Club are hosting the National Day of Prayer at Pleasant Grove Park.  We will be meeting at the flagpole at 12 noon.  Please bring your own lawn chairs.  Join us to pray for our Nation and Our Community.

Doors open at 6pm. At 6:30 Pastor Dean Harvey will begin the evening by talking about the power of prayer with scriptural references and practical experiences followed by prayers and fellowship. At 8pm the National Broadcast will be shown on the big screen.

This event is open to everyone. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

The Well Coffeehouse is a non-denominational, standalone Christian coffeehouse located in a small strip mall in Portsmouth, VA. It's one of a few of this type of venue in the country. We have been at this location for over 12 years. There is live Christian music every Friday and Saturday night 6 to 9pm, 5 Bible studies throughout the week, filming of weekly TV shows for the GoodVue Network plus special events from time to time.

The City of Portsmouth's National Day of Prayer will take place on May 1, 2025 at 11:15 am with the Grove Church Music Ministry singing songs of praise. The prayer service will begin at 11:30 am with the Portsmouth Honor Guard presenting our colors and flags. Our mayor, Shannon Glover will read a proclamation declaring May 1, 2025 as a day of prayer in The City of Portsmouth.

Local Pastor's will pray for our government, community, schools, employees, homeless, and our communities at large.  All faiths, our city employees, and citizens are welcome to attend.
