Online National Prayer Service Outline

Total Time: 2 Hours (4 sections of 30 minutes each)

1. Opening Prayer for Gratitude and Worship

Time: 30 Minutes

Purpose: To express gratitude for God's blessings and worship Him.

Scripture: Psalm 95:

2 - "Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!"

Content: Begin with worship music, followed by collective prayers of thanks for personal and national blessings. Participants can share brief testimonies of gratitude.

2. Prayer for Unity and Reconciliation

Time: 30 Minutes

Purpose: To seek unity and healing across the nation and within communities.

Scripture: Colossians 3:

14 - "And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity."

Content: Focus on prayers for reconciliation among divided groups, healing for communities affected by strife, and the fostering of love and understanding.

3. Prayer for Guidance and Wisdom in Leadership

Time: 30 Minutes

Purpose: To pray for wisdom and discernment for leaders at all levels.

Scripture: Proverbs 2:

6 - "For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding."

Content: Encourage participants to pray for local, state, and national leaders, asking for divine wisdom in decision-making and governance. Brief readings or reflections on leadership from scripture can be included.

4. Closing Prayer for Peace and Hope

Time: 30 Minutes

Purpose: To conclude with a focus on peace and hope for the future.

Scripture: Jeremiah 29:

11 - "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Content: End with prayers for peace in the world, hope for the future, and strength to overcome challenges. Invite participants to reflect on their hopes for themselves, their communities, and the nation.

Recognizing that there is no distance in God, who brings hope, joy, and peace to us all as we pray over the nation.  Join us from where you are to declare the word of God from coast to coast. Including every territory and community.

The Doors will open at 6:00PM and the service will begin at 6:30PM with singing and flowing into prayer. Each year this event brings believers together from various congregations all over the Oak Ridge community; it is a beautiful demonstration of the power of the unity of the faith.

Pastors, Ministers, or Leaders of Fellowships are invited to be a part of Lifting up the Word through Worship, Pray, and watch the Light of the World; Jesus, light up our community through this life impacting event.

Please join us as we open the windows of heaven to the GOD OF HOPE- and we are FILLED !  ( Our national theme based on Romans  15 : 13 )  All are welcome to join us as we pray for Bedford County and celebrate the 74th national day of prayer-- we will pray for our community , state and nation, at the Bedford county courthouse 1-2 pm.

We will also send out designated  multiple prayer teams to pray ON SITE to our schools, local government, first responders, hospitals- beginning at  6 am- 6 pm... be in prayer as we visit these agencies on site.  At 1 pm we will re-group and have a joint community prayer gathering at the courthouse. Come and be a part of community prayer service, as we soak  this city and county in prayer..

Join our community at the Northside Elementary school  for a time of prayer as we pour out to the GOD OF HOPE and be filled !! Romans 15 : 13.

 Prayer stations will be set up for the 7 influences: Government, Military, Business, Churches/ Pastors, Education areas, Marriages and Families, Media- Arts/ Entertainment. This will be a self guided  interactive time of prayer as you are able to pray at each area for as long as you wish.   Please come and pray for our community, state and our nation !

All Fayette County residents are invited to a National Day of Prayer Gathering on Thursday, May 1 at 12noon at the Fayette County Justice Complex to pray for our Nation, the State of Tennessee, and our Fayette County leaders, churches, and residents.
