Concord Baptist Church will host a National Day of Prayer celebration at 6:30 am on May 1, 2025. The event will begin in the church commons and then move to the sanctuary for the prayer time.
We will have prayer specifically for National, State and Local leaders, educators, Military, EMS, Fire and Rescue, and Law Enforcement.
The National Day of Prayer will be observed this Thursday, May 1, 2025. Gethsemane Baptist Temple and our Pastor, Sam Duncan, Chairman of the Anderson County National Day of Prayer, invite everyone to join us in attendance as we pray for our city, state and nation on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 12:00 noon at the Anderson County Courthouse Plaza located at 100 South Main St. in Anderson, SC. (If we have inclement weather, we will meet in the Historic Courthouse Council Chambers located across the street at 101 South Main Street, Anderson, SC). Please do your best to attend, but if you can not attend, please pray where you are.

All Sun City Hilton Head residents and their guests are invited to our Annual National Day of Prayer Service. Members of our community will be praying for our country, our leaders (national and local), our military, first responders, teachers, etc. We are very fortunate to have with us, once again this year, a wonderful local talent, Tim Malchak. He will be sharing his latest music (and some special favorites) throughout the service.

Please join us for a time of prayer at the noon hour on May 1st, 2025 in Joseph Rainey Park next to the Kaminski House. Many church leaders will be leading us in prayer for our nation, our city, leaders, schools, families, military and first responders, and churches. We will begin with the blowing of shofars. We include the National Anthem, the Pledge of Allegiance, and a proclamation by the mayor acknowledging the Georgetown National Day of Prayer. This is a day we pray as a nation and church united before God and we hope you will attend and be a part of this prayer observance.

The event will be held at the Harleyville, SC Town Park with speakers and singers from community churches, schools, county offices, and businesses. The South Carolina international Pentecostal church will be gathering to pray.

Since our nation’s founding, our leaders, starting with our first president George Washington, have found great wisdom, comfort, and guidance in prayer, and for the past 74 years the president of the United States has issued a proclamation calling on all Americans to pray for our nation.
Join us on Thursday, May 1 from 9:30am – 10am on the steps of Pickens County Courthouse, Main Street, downtown Pickens, as we come together as a community to praise God and to pray with others for our community, state, and nation. This is an outdoor community prayer event on the courthouse lawn. Bring a chair if you want.
