This sacred gathering will bring together churches, leaders, and members of our community in a unified spirit of prayer, worship, and reflection. In a time when our city and nation face many challenges, we believe deeply in the power of coming together as one lifting our voices in faith, humility, and hope.
Prayer is the foundation of guidance, wisdom, and strength. Scripture reminds us that when we call upon God with sincere hearts, He hears us and responds. It is through prayer that we seek peace, restoration, and direction not only for ourselves, but for our communities and those entrusted with leadership.
This gathering will be a Spirit-led time of worship, marked by heartfelt prayer, unity, and reverence for God’s presence. It is not about politics or denominations, but about coming together in love, as one city, under God.
Our National Day of Prayer event is a two pronged approach. The Way Ministries has partnered with Hope Christian Fellowship to put this event together. At 6:00 PM at Hope Christian Fellowship, across from the Post Office will host a time of worship followed by prayer in the church. Those that would like to walk are encouraged to meet at the corner of Peterboro Street and Railroad Street at 6:30. This group that is walking will walk and pray through the village ending at the Canastota High School. Both groups will be praying for the same topics. If weather is inclement, we will meet at Hope Christian Fellowship and pray there.
Let us not grow wearing in our praying for our nation and community that has been entrusted to us. We believe that if you can and are able to walk with us please do. It sends another message when we pray through the community and claim the ground that is ours in Christ Jesus.

For all in the Tonawanda and Grand Island communities of western New York. We're planning to meet on the shore of the mighty Niagara River, at the David L. Miller Bandshell in the City of Tonawanda (200 Niagara Street). We'll meet (God willing) for 60 minutes of prayer led by local pastors, ministry leaders, and lay people from various walks of life. We'll break into small groups for a portion of that time and pray for our families, our churches and leaders, our community, and more. This is an outdoor event so please plan accordingly: bring lawn chairs, weather-appropriate clothing and gear including an umbrella or sunglasses (ya never know)! It's possible we may have to change the location (inclement weather or other circumstances) so please check this website periodically.
