State Events
The Christians in the Workplace Networking Group and the Kirtland AFB Chaplain Corps invite all to celebrate the National Day of Prayer Thursday, May 7, noon-1 p.m. MDT, via Teams and Steve Schiff Auditorium. The NDP, created in 1952 by the U.S. Congress, is a day to transcend differences and bring together all backgrounds and faiths to pray for the nation.
Join us for a "Night of Worship & Prayer"! We will worship in song and mix them with times of prayer for our Country; School Teachers & Leaders; City & Government Leaders; Military; etc. etc.
Our gathering will begin with a brief time of worship, followed by corporate prayers covering major topics in our society. Finally we will divide into smaller groups in which every individual will be able to pray for our nation regarding anything that is on their hearts.

Mark your calendars and plan to join us at Albuquerque Civic Plaza on Thursday, May 7, as we come together to pray for our community, our city, and our nation. This special gathering will be hosted by Steve Stucker, bringing clarity, energy, and heart to an evening centered on hope, unity, and faith. Family fun starts at 4 pm.
Enjoy a fun, family friendly atmosphere with a kid zone, youth activities, and food trucks as Bethany Wohrle of Bethel Music Collective and worship leaders from across our city lead us in a meaningful time of praise. The skate competition will start at 4:30 pm on the east side of the Plaza (3rd Street). The evening will also feature an inspiring message from Edward Graham, followed by a united time of prayer as we ask the Lord to bring revival to a lost world.

The National Day of Prayer - Carlsbad Community Observance will be held on Thursday, May 7 at the Walter Gerrells Performing Arts And Exhibition Center (4012 National Parks Hwy, Carlsbad, NM).
The evening begins at 5 PM with free food served on the front lawn of Performing Arts and Exhibition Center.
Doors open at 6 PM. Several local ministries will be represented in the foyer such as: Celebrate Recovery, Christian Women's Job Corp, Gideons International, Lifehouse, New Beginnings Caring Pregnancy Center, GriefShare, Hope Center, MyPower, and more! A photo booth will also be available for individuals and families.
The Observance program begins at 6:30 PM and will include a presentation of flags by the Carlsbad Police Department Honor Guard, the singing of "The National Anthem" by the Carlsbad High School Choir, greetings from Mayor Rick Lopez, and prayers offering by several local pastors.
Christian musical artist, Danny Gokey will be our special guest worship leader.
This Observance is free and open to the public.

From sun up to sun down on May 5 National Day of Prayer participants are invited to walk a 2 mile loop at Hillcrest Park. Eight stops will be marked along the trail to guide walkers in prayer over eight "centers of influence" which include government, military, media, business, education, church, family and health. Children's' Walk & Pray in effort to encourage children to engage in prayer for our leader will be a short walk through a walk around the Hillcrest Park pond

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER BREAKFAST 2026
We will have a morning filled with prayer to cover our nation seeking out the grace of God. There will be a continental breakfast provided from 7am-7:25am. The program will begin sharply at 7:30am and end promptly by 8:30am. We will have a main speaker and individuals praying over specific areas in our country. These will include; Family, Churches, Schools, Business, Government, Military, and First Responders. It is $5 per ticket which can be paid online when you register or mailed in to the Rio Rancho Church of Christ after you register. This event is sponsored by the Rio Rancho Church of Christ, Cornerstone Church, Believer's Christian Gifts, and Daniel's Family Funeral Home Vista Verde Memorial Park. (All funds go to help support providing this event the following year.)
The National Day of Prayer was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. In 1988, the law was unanimously amended by both the House and the Senate and signed into law by President Ronald Reagan on Thursday, May 5, 1988, designating the first Thursday of May as a day of national prayer. Every president since 1952 has signed a National Day of Prayer proclamation.

Join us at the State Capitol in Santa Fe, New Mexico for the 75th observance of the National Day of Prayer. Due to construction on the east side, we will now be located outside the Capitol on the west side of the building. We will begin at 11:30 am for praise and worship before joining together in prayer where together we will glorify the Lord among the nations, seeking Him in all generations!
