Our nation is in desperate need for Righteousness to be restored! There is a clarion call for the Body Of Christ to gather in prayer. A deep stirring is taking place in the hearts of the people of God for holiness and the fear of the Lord to return to our land. Our Father always hears us when we cry out to Him in faith! Come join us as we come boldly before His throne and cry mercy for our nation! Healing for our families and restoration for our land.
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Hebrews 4:12-16 NKJV

Join us as we gather on the steps of city hall to pray for America, the Commonwealth, our city, our families, first responders, the schools, and many other important issues relevant to the year in which we are praying.
This is a prayer event, not a political or publicity event. We don't bring banners, we don't have guest speakers, and we don't invite the media. We come to pray, not to make a statement that we are praying. We believe God hears our intercession and answers accordingly. We gather during the noon hour, from 12-12:30pm so that local shopkeepers or workers could attend during lunch break.

This year is a special year as we gather to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the 75th anniversary of the National Day of Prayer. This year the event will be held at a special place.
The Pilgrims made a voluntary covenant with God and each other to walk in all His ways and to be steppingstones for generations to come by spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ the Savior of the world. They knew that this was the only true path to liberty.
The Pilgrims, being a product of the reformation, wanted to follow Jesus Christ as Lord so they separated from the church and had church in their homes. When they did this, they formed a church covenant called the Scrooby Covenant of 1606:
"As ye Lord's free people joined themselves by a covenant of the Lord into a church estate, in ye fellowship of ye gospel, to walk in all His ways, made known or to be made known to them according to their best endeavor, whatever it should cost them, the Lord assisting them."
This covenant led to the "Mayflower Compact" which was a civil covenant that formed the civil government that we have today. Chiltonville Congregational Church is one of the few churches that still operates under the Scrooby Covenant. What better place to have these years "National Day of Prayer".
We hope you will join us as we gather together for prayer, worship, and our annual renewal of the covenant.
