This event was God inspired by Act 2:1 & 2 Chronicled 7:14 due to such increase in crime, innocent blood shed, hopelessness, fear and family crisis here in Opelousas La. and surrounding areas. The 1st warning was given back in the year of 2015 and the result of not taking heed to it, now we're all suffering the consequences of which that had been told to follow.
We're gathering together on one accord to see a move of God within the world, families and ourselves in prayer, praise and worship.
Opelousas, LA 70570
There will be a National Day of Prayer gathering on Thursday, May 1 from 12:15-12:45PM on the steps of Pineville City Hall.
Since 1993, citizens of central Louisiana have been gathering on the steps of Pineville City Hall on the first Thursday in May, which is designated as the National Day of Prayer, for an informal time of prayer for our nation, state and city. Just as in the past 32 years, there is no organized program - prayers are offered by anyone who desires to pray. The group prayer time concludes by inviting elected officials and public employees to the center to pray for them before singing a closing hymn together.
Join us on the steps of Pineville City Hall at noon on May 2, 2024 as we pray for our city, state, and nation on the National Day of Prayer!
