State Events
Join us as we lead the charge for the state of Kansas, kicking off the National Day of Prayer as the very first event in our state. We are gathering virtually to "Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations" by fulfilling our biblical mandate to pray for those in authority.

This is a "drop-in" prayer engagement. Whether you have five minutes before your commute or can stay for the full two hours, your voice is needed. Because this is a virtual gathering, you are welcome to join from your prayer closet, your commute, or even in your pajamas with a cup of coffee.
Our Focus: United Prayer for Leaders
The one thing that terrifies the enemy more than anything is a united, praying church. We are called to pray for our elected officials—regardless of party affiliation or whether we personally voted for them. We will be lifting up:
- Local Officials: Mayors, council members, county commissioners, and judges.
- State Leadership: Our Governor, the Kansas Legislature, and the Supreme Court of Kansas.
- Federal Leaders: All those God has placed in power for this season.
How We Pray
We believe God honors the faithfulness of His people when they gather to seek Him. If an official is not honoring God, we pray they have a personal encounter with Jesus. We pray that when they humble themselves before the Savior, they are surrounded by believers who can help them lead with wisdom.
Gathering Guidelines
- Respect: If someone is already praying when you dial in, please enter quietly.
- Freedom: We welcome all prayer languages. Feel free to pray audibly, to pray in tongues, or to pray in your native language.
- Unity: We stand on the promise that when hearts align, faith grows and God is glorified.

Since 2003 believers have been gathering in Lawrence for the National Day of Prayer. Since 2005, on the first Thursday in May, we have met at noon around the South Park Gazebo. The historical symbolism of this location should not be missed.
For those who are unable to stand for an hour we suggest bringing a folding chair.
Stay tuned, we often add an evening location. School groups and offices also meet on the NDP. Why not hold one in your place of work or school?
