Join us as we gather with our community to pray for our country! Pastors from various churches in the area will be praying over our churches, education, media, government, military, families and businesses. 

There will be a breakfast buffet available for $20 per person. We hope you will join us!

The church will be open for prayer. There will be a pizza supper at 6PM and closing devotion by Pastor Marty at 6:45PM. Please join us!

Join us in lifting our Nation in prayer and hear testimonies to prayer as we celebrate our Nations 75th National Day of Prayer. We also celebrate with Thanksgiving for 250 years as a Nation!

A time for local churches, civic leaders, and citizens of Granite City to gather publicly to praise God, and seek his guidance for our community, state, and country.

We invite you to plan now to join us for this unforgettable annual celebration of prayer.  Our God is a great God and he enjoys nothing more than for his children to gather together and pray.  

In the meantime, will you join us now in asking the Lord to begin awakening a deeper hunger for His Word in the hearts of our community?  Attendance has dropped significantly since 2020 and we are praying that attendance will increase significantly in 2026.

Arise309 is facilitating the Peoria area National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 7th. This gathering is for all of the body of Christ in the Central Illinois Region. There will be thousands of prayer events across the nation that day. The event will include worship and prayers for the nation, state, and Peoria area led by local leaders.

We will focus on praying for the needs of our country, our region and more. Parking is available along the riverfront and near the Gateway Building. Bring chairs if you would like to sit. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held at the Agape School of Supernatural Ministry at 610 Abington Street, Peoria, IL 61603. An update will be posted on our website and on the Facebook event. 

There is also a gathering happening in Pekin from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the Pekin Riverfront Park at 121 Court Street. Their indoor location in case of rain will be at Reachpoint 215 N. Street Pekin, IL, 61554.

This year, on our nation’s 250th anniversary, the National Day of Prayer celebrates 75 years of prayer for America! The National Day of Prayer observance was established in 1952, by a joint resolution of Congress and signed into law by President Truman. Each year since then, our president has called upon the citizens of our nation to pray, and in 1988 President Reagan established this day of prayer to be the First Thursday of May.

The 2026 Theme is “Glorify God Among the Nations – Seeking Him in All Generations.”

Please join us on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 12-2 p.m. as we pray for the seven sectors which influence society: Church, Family, Education, Business/Workplace, Military, Government, and Arts/Entertainment/Media.

We are expecting God to answer our prayers for the observance of 2026 National Day of Prayer, as we join with church leaders/congregants/parishioners, local/state government leaders, arts/entertainment/media sectors, military branches, law enforcement, business leaders, healthcare industry leaders, and families as we join in prayer.

You are welcome to join us to sing, worship and praise the Lord, agree with us as prayers and Scriptures are prayed or decreed by an assigned group of leaders, the Proclamation read, and a brief message.

In agreement with 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

The efforts of the National Day of Prayer Task Force are performed in accordance with its Judeo-Christian values and beliefs. We would love for the prayer gathering to cause repentance, unity, for positive change to occur in Illinois and the nations, and for people to submit their lives to Christ. A time for disciples across 102 counties within Illinois and this nation to become imitators of Jesus Christ to pray. 

Please join us as we pray for the United States of America. The Service will include a Color Guard, worship time and representatives from the seven prayer focus areas (Media, Government, Business, Military, Education, Churches/Pastors, Marriage and Families) who will give a brief testimony and lead us in prayer for their area.
