When We Don't Know What to Say - We Pray!
When tragedy strikes, when innocent lives are taken and families and communities are torn apart by senseless violence, when we don’t have words to say but need to express our feelings of shock, confusion, disbelief, anger, sorrow, rage, fear, anxiety and a myriad of other emotions – the word of God teaches us to pray! These violent acts that invade our lives remind us that we live in a lost and broken world. As followers of Jesus Christ, we know that He comes to us in our broken state and pours out His love upon us. We need God’s wisdom as...

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Now to Him Who is Able
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21 NKJV Now to Him … the focus of our 2022 National Day of Prayer, was HIM. Together, we gathered to EXALT THE LORD by the millions – from ‘prayer flights’ over state capitals to gatherings in capital rotundas, we entered boldly into the throne of Grace, where we cried out, interceded, prayed and made petitions to...

Christ is Risen!
The Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus from the Gospel of Mark 15:33-16:11 NASB When the sixth hour came, darkness fell over the whole land until the ninth hour. At the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabaktanei?” which is translated, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” And when some of the bystanders heard Him, they began saying, “Look! He is calling for Elijah!” And someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on a reed, and gave Him a drink, saying, “Let us see if Elijah comes to take Him down.” But Jesus let out a loud cry, and died. And the veil...

Having Been Firmly Rooted
Greetings! “Having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith” Colossians 2:7b So many times, we read through sections of scripture too quickly. We don’t pause to let the truth ‘soak in’ to our souls. Having ‘been’ … past tense, accomplished. God did it, accomplished it, now it is done. WE who have believed, have ‘been’ firmly rooted in Him, the Lord Jesus! And NOW, we are being, present tense, ‘built up’ upon that firm rooting that He has already put into place. That is a firm position. Remember the old hymn, “How firm a foundation, ye saints of...
