I write to you today as we begin preparing for a truly historic and holy moment in the life of our nation—the 75th annual National Day of Prayer, coming as we also celebrate America’s 250th birthday. This is not simply another year. It is a divine opportunity for the Church to rise in hope, humility, faith, and unity—to rededicate our hearts, our homes, our communities, and our nation to the Lord before we commemorate this landmark celebration.
As we look ahead to 2026, I believe with all my heart that God is calling His people to prepare, just as the people of Israel did in Nehemiah’s day. When Ezra read the Book of the Law, they didn’t jump to celebration. They wept. They repented. They responded with humility and renewed devotion. After the walls were rebuilt, the Word of God was read—and their hearts were restored.
America desperately needs a moment like that. We are a nation that must rediscover what was established at our very foundation—that we are a nation established under God. But it has been said, that at any point in time, we are only one generation away from becoming a godless nation, and now is the time to call every generation, young and old, to seek the Lord while He may be found.
At the birth of our nation, our founding fathers humbly acknowledged God’s sovereignty and dedicated this land to His guidance and blessing. From their public prayers to the principles they enshrined in our founding documents, they recognized that freedom without faith would falter. Now, 250 years later, we are being called back—not to something new, but to something deeply rooted and established; the rededication of a nation that was always meant to walk under the authority and goodness of God.
Our 2026 theme is both a challenge and invitation for the Church and for every individual who calls upon His name, to Glorify God Among the Nations – Seeking Him in All Generations. What a powerful reminder that from the first prayer spoken over this land to every petition whispered today, God has been faithful. This theme echoes across generations, calling the Church to fan the flame of prayer and God’s Word in this NOW generation—to lift high the name of Jesus in a world desperate for hope and healing.
Let me assure you: what we do at the National Day of Prayer Task Force is so much more than a single day in May. We are a year-round movement, mobilizing prayer, proclaiming the Gospel, and equipping leaders every single day. Our National Prayer Line never goes silent. Every day of every year, someone is lifting up our nation, our leaders, our families, and our future. These aren’t scripted prayers—they’re Spirit-led, Scripture-saturated moments of real ministry. It has been said that “history belongs to the intercessors.” We are literally writing our future history books with the prayers that are prayed!
Truly, none of this “just happens.” Your faithful partnership allows us to host our National Leadership Summits, where our national and state leaders and coordinators are encouraged, equipped, and then sent back into their cities with new tools and fresh passion to mobilize prayer. This year, we had the incredible opportunity to arrange appointments on Capitol Hill, where we prayed with and for our nation’s leaders—interceding not with an “ask” or opinion, but with love, humility, and the living, powerful Word of God.
Our volunteer coordinators—nearly 19,000 strong—are hosting prayer gatherings, discipling leaders, interceding for their communities, and meeting needs with the love and truth of Jesus. Your support helps them mobilize tens of thousands of local gatherings, spanning almost every county in America, where prayer and hope is brought into the lives of the millions who attend each year. From small towns to large cities, in churches, parks, schools, and public squares, they are lifting up the name of Jesus in prayer.
And through your continued giving, we are able to broadcast the National Observance to over 2.2 billion people worldwide, sharing the Gospel and uniting hearts across generations and the globe in one powerful call to prayer. All of this is possible because you have chosen to invest in something eternal. This is more than a ministry—it is a mission. A call. A sacred trust. And you are part of it. These are the opportunities that you help create. This is the legacy you are building with us.
As we prepare our hearts and our country for this landmark 75th annual observance, we know that God is moving! Even when the news is discouraging or the future seems uncertain, we press on because our hope is not in headlines or elections, but in Jesus Christ alone. He is the One who unites. The One who heals. The One who can turn the tide of a nation and draw every generation to Himself.
This coming May, we don’t just want to gather—we want to ignite a nationwide ‘Nehemiah Moment’—a rededication of our nation to God. That’s why your support is more vital than ever before. You’ve seen what God can do through prayer. You’ve experienced it. You’ve helped make it possible. And now, we ask you to stand with us once again.
Would you prayerfully consider giving a special gift today—in honor of the 75th National Day of Prayer and the 250th birthday of our nation? Or maybe God is calling you to become a monthly partner, allowing us to plan boldly and move forward with confidence into this next season of ministry. Whatever God leads you to give, we will receive it with joy and steward it with prayerful diligence.
Thank you for running with us, praying with us, and believing with us that prayer can truly change the course of a family, a city, and even a nation. Thank you for helping us be ready—not just to celebrate—to rededicate this country to the God who established it. We are truly grateful for you. And we’re pressing on—together.
