Where is America headed? As I look at what is happening in our nation today, how my soul mourns at the absence of honor and respect to our LORD Jesus Christ and His values in our culture. The general public arena has rapidly descended as the disappearance of the fear of the LORD has vaporized from the hearts and minds of many, especially the highly visible and vocal. The lack of civility, loss of decorum, ill regard for authority are signs of a society in peril, one that desires to serve self.
Where is America headed?
Proverbs 1:7 reminds us that, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.”
The need for God’s wisdom is infinite. Our nation can improve if we recapture a holy fear and reverence of God. Then and only then can His wisdom begin.
Points for Prayer:
Romans 14:12 reminds us that one day every soul will give an account of our lives to the God their Creator.
- Repent and ask for Holy Spirit conviction to come on the populous to know the existence of the LORD.
- Repent and ask for Holy Spirit conviction to come on the populous to revere/honor/fear the LORD.
- Repent and ask for Holy Spirit conviction to come on the populous to seek the LORD.
