This year the National Day of Prayer: Pray for America Bus Tour took to the road on July 17th. We engaged and encouraged thousands to pray for America by praying for the more than 21,995,000 Americans who serve in local, state, and national government!
In 1 Timothy 2:2 we are told to pray "for rulers, and for everyone who has authority over us. Pray for these people so that we can have a quiet and peaceful life always lived in a godly and reverent way.”
Realizing that many of these individuals serve in elected office, we travelled to Cleveland, OH, and Philadelphia, PA to the Republican and Democratic National Conventions from July 18th to 24th. While there we rallied prayer for delegates, candidates, and all those in attendance. In connection with our friends at the Congressional Prayer Caucus Foundation, our bus teams encouraged others to join the nationwide effort to proudly display “In God We Trust” (our national motto) on windows and in government buildings, courtrooms, schools, and businesses all across America. Following the conventions, we journeyed to Washington DC on July 30th to join with national leaders to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of our national motto.
We encouraged you to pray with us as we chronicled our fourth historic prayer journey through the United States. Learn more at pray4america.org, InGodWeTrust.com, and on Facebook.
