Can our church participate in the National Day of Prayer broadcast?
Yes. Churches are invited to participate in the National Day of Prayer Broadcast, which will take place at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Many churches choose to watch together with their congregation as part of their National Day of Prayer observance.
The 90-minute broadcast will include:
-
guided prayer
-
musical worship
-
a Gospel presentation from this year’s co-host, Tim Tebow
The broadcast will be livestreamed on the National Day of Prayer website and shared worldwide through broadcast partners.
As far as participating with in-house prayers, there will not be ‘breaks’ in the livestream necessarily. We are recommending that churches plan for a short service of in house prayer either before or after. There will be a Gospel presentation in the Livestream, so having pastors or other spiritual directors on hand to minister to any in the congregation who respond is also recommended.
