Our local radio station, KULM, graciously gave the local Christian leaders 3 minutes at the top of the hour to cover the seven areas. Our attendance has grown from 40 to 250 in the past 5 years, but this year God’s glory was spread over the entire listening area! Columbus, TX

2020 has seen many changes. One being the way we coordinated the National Day of Prayer. This year Carolina Baptist Association held a Virtual National Day of Prayer. Years past we met at the county courthouse, did the presentation of colors, pledges and sang The National Anthem. We asked several people in the community to pray for our county, state and nation. This year we met at First Baptist Church Hendersonville and did a videotaping. The video was then emailed to churches, businesses, non-profit organizations, evangelical associations, local news stations and individuals to share via social media. A radio interview was conducted Monday, May 4, 2020 by Rev. Bill Campbell, Executive Director of Spiritual Awakening and host of Live Beyond radio broadcast with myself and Rev. Bill Michael, pastor of Mountain Harvest Fellowship and a member of the Henderson County Ministerial Association. The story ran in two local newspapers and WLOS TV did a news segment on their evening news. For those of you who haven’t seen the video, it is attached.
NDP 2020 – Here is what we did on our Drive out and About Prayer Drive adventure – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1LaSXkVkZ0
We had 65 cars participate and over 80 people come out and do our Prayer Drive in six different areas of our community. We collected canned food for our local food pantry as well. The Mayor sent his proclaimation. The Chamber of Commerce hosted a small social distancing gathering in Jeffeson County to start the morning. We followed with our Prayer Drive and food collection.

We offered several ways for people to be invovled with our city’s event. Everyone could participate at their own comfort level to those staying at home or those doing prayer walks or those praying on their porches to our Prayer Drive out and About.
We had a great day together and the event was on Facebook live so the community could be a part of the service.
Our Mayor worked with us to make the day great for the community.

The Federalsburg Ministerial Association pushed through in spite of several frustrating “livestream” technical difficulties and the super awkward COVID19 guidelines.
Our (5) Freedom Prayer Leaders came ready, armed and poised for the moment. For (2) Law Enforcement officers who payed over the schools and local enforcements — this was their first ever public prayer opportunity. God grew them through the event.
Our worship segments were anointed and kept our evening focus and theme on target.
Our observance was on First Baptist Church Waldron’s Facebook page going live. We held it from Noon to 12:40 pm. We encouraged people to watch the National observance.

Our County observance (Oxford County, Maine) was a Facebook live event this year, from 7PM to 7:45, with a strong plea for people to watch and participate with the National Observance starting at 8PM. We did pray about the 7 Mountains of Influence and power, and for some local concerns.

We had an extraordinary night of stories and prayer as 450 Hollywood entertainment industry professionals gathered on a sound stage of CBS Television and celebrated God and His faithfulness. We prayed for our industry and all the people in it on a night when people all over the country were gathering in prayer. The Holy Spirit showed up and it was a miraculous night.

Our Wyoming National Day of Prayer event was the first in our State’s history to be livestreamed. The Governor and First Lady and several other elected officials joined us. It was so exciting to be all together in unity and we could certainly feel the Lord’s presence and HIs pleasure at the event. We look forward to moving ahead with livestreaming in our State.

We joined with PrayCUPN, ODB volunteers, World Baptist Alliance members, members from the local Chinese Christian Church, the Presidential Prayer Team, GBCM/Protestant Campus Ministry (Bridgeport,CT) and the Bishop Oral Roberts and his congregation on the historic New Haven CT Green for 1 plus hour of focused, effectual prayers. As a USAF veteran and VA volunteer, I was asked to lead the prayer for federal government, military and state/city/town/community. Some in the group joined hands with the homeless and were able to distribute spome helpful spiritual literewature, like Our Daily Bread. On that evening at 6 PM, we joined with the St. Paul’s Baptist Church in Bridgeport for one hour of powerful prayer in Bridgeport, CT God moved in mighty and miraculous ways.

The Oxford Hills Area NDP event (Thursday evening at 7) went very well.
There was an increase in turn out compared to 2017. Last year there were
35 in attendance and about 60 this year. For 2018, Hosanna Church (109 Schoolhouse Road, Oxford) hosted the event for the first time in 5 years.
Participants (and pastors) came from about 6 different area churches.
There was group
singing of God Bless America, and I provided special music with one of my songs about prayer: We Must Pray.
All seven of the centers of power/influence in the culture were prayed over specifically; each by a different person leading the praying.
The event finished up at 8:15PM. People did not rush off, but dissipated gradually. There was a sense of unity and mutuality in the gathering, which had Baptists, Assembly of God, Advent Christian, Independent Charismatic, and Nazarene support.
Blessings to you today,

Our National Day of Prayer event was all planned out, and I had invited 6 local churches to the event. The community room in the Fort Lupton Rec Center was all ready for people to just come in and join us. We were going to do our prayer night a little different, so we set about 35 chairs in a circle and were just going to pray. No program. No speakers. No video. Just pray. We were going to use the 7 Centers of Influence. It was supposed to begin at 6:00pm. I arrived at 5:30 and Greg, our church president, came at about 5:45. By 6:00pm, it was just the two of us. Same at 6:05, 6:10, 6:15 and 6:20. So Greg and I just began to pray together. By 6:45 were were finished and decided to go grab something to eat. We headed to a Mexican Restaurant and ordered our food. Disappointed. Yes. As we were waiting for our food, we overheard a waitress in the kitchen area talk about how she wanted to get her children baptized and that she needed to get back into church. When our waitress brought us our food, I asked her to send the other waitress over. When she came, we told her we were from a local church and that we could help her with her need. I told her we were going to pray over our food and if she would like to join us. I also asked her if there was anything we could pray for her about. With a tear in her eye, she began to explain about how she had just gone through a very bad divorce, and was heading to court this week to try and get child support for her children. She was very anxious and afraid about this. So, we prayed, the three of us holding hands, in them middle of the restaurant. Since that night, she has called me three times and we are working on baptisms for her and her two children. Now. Disappointment because no one came to the Rec Center? Sure. But sometimes God works in such crazy ways. Had we been at the National Day of Prayer event, we never would have been at that restaurant, and never would have had the chance to meet this wonderful women and pray with her So, I am calling our National Day of Prayer night a joyous night and a success!

I also attended an evening Banquet hosted by the Northeast Baptist Association and Pastor Darren Myers was the keynote speaker. We hosted a community wide prayer event and invited all denominations to join us throughout the day. Our church was open from 6 am – 6 pm with multiple people filling every 30 minute slot throughout the day. At 7 pm we had a prayer and worship service that multiple churches and pastors from our community participated in. We invited all our county and city leaders to join us. Our judge, mayor, police department, sheriff department, constable department and Superintendent for our school district joined us and not only were our national leaders and state leaders prayed for but so were these neighbors who serve us selflessly. It was an awesome to witness 250 people stand behind and pray for our leaders. Our Great God is moving in our community and we continue to pray that He will move in our nation.

We had Pastors praying for the nation/leaders, armed services and veterans and city/county leaders, police/firemen/1st responders, families and communities. The sheriff prayed for schools/students/teachers/staff. We also had a lay person pray for all the pastors and churches. There was music, music, music and a signing choir. Then at the end we had a call to prayer. It was the best event we have had so far. People are looking forward to next year!
We had a GREATDAY at our NOON event at the County Courthouse, complete with a Marine Corps ROTC Color Guard. Our Brenham ISD Superintendent of Schools prayed for our teachers, students and parents, one of our Police Officers prayed for our first responders, several other pastors prayed for our Nation, State & Local governments, Families, Churches and faith based institutions…. A GREAT time in the Lord!

Sunrise Baptist Church of Lawrenceville, GA had planned an outdoor, day-long event that was severely modified due to high wind, rain and the threat of hazardous weather conditions. Instead, 35 people arrived between 10:30AM and NOON, and then gathered in the church sanctuary for prayer at Noon. Prayer topics included the Church, the Military, the Government, Our medical personnel, our First Responders, Missionaries, and Revival. NDP Task Force Prayer Guides were distributed, as well as Bibles and other literature. We also gave out little plastic Army men tokens to remind people to pray for our military.
