Recently, a little Word of Encouragement was written to the ministry, along with a generous gift from a donor, who is a successful business owner and just recently celebrated his 75th anniversary in business. The main point of the note was that God’s supernatural power will be tested by men and women of faith to live out His principles to an unbelieving world, and the biggest tests will involve finances (Malachi 3:10). The donor encouraged us to pray asking God to supply all the needs of the ministry and every special project He wants done, allowing God to work on the hearts of people to respond, so that He gets all the praise and glory. This dear friend of our ministry then mentioned a quote from Hudson Taylor stating, “God’s work done in God’s way will not lack God’s support.” The question is when we pray, do we trust God to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory? Phil 4:19
Personally, God has supplied supernaturally in my family, my own life, and in the ministry, which continues to build my faith, and encourage everyone around me. In 2013, the National Day of Prayer Task Force went on the road. The Pray for America Bus Rally Tour started out as a seed of faith in prayer. We had just enough funding to visit six New England states, to engage, encourage, and equip people to pray for America. As God’s people prayed, He opened the windows of heaven and supplied funds for 100 days. We traveled 13,864 miles through 34 states connecting with nearly 101,500 people. God receives all the praise and glory!
In my own life, I believed God was calling me to graduate school at Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. I prayed and trusted God to supply all my needs. Each semester I did not know how God was going to do it, but He did. And I graduated, with a M.A. Public Policy, debt free - to God be the glory!
Pray and ask God to supply the resources you need in your life and ministry. Plant a seed in His Kingdom, with your time, talent and treasure, and watch your faith grow and encourage others. God is the unfailing and unlimited source of your supply and nothing is impossible when God’s people pray (Luke 1:37).
