For Your Great Name’s Sake IMMANUEL:  GOD WITH US …They will call him Immanuel— which means, “God with us.”[1] We worship You on this final prayer call before the National Observance of the National Day of Prayer as our Immanuel.  We stand in awe that You would leave Heaven’s throne, confine Yourself to a woman’s womb for nine months, submit to the human birth process, then enter time and space in order to be with us! Because You love us! We have seen Your glory in the face of Jesus Christ, full of grace and truth.[2] Who could imagine such... Read more >>

Promoting Your Event in Local Media

With the National Day of Prayer observance just a little over a month away, now is the time to begin your plan for promoting your event through local media – specifically radio and television stations. Each year, we work to provide you with tools that you can use to rally hundreds in your community to respond to our President’s annual National Day of Prayer proclamation.  You can do this by using these tools to encourage people to ‘turn to God in prayer and meditation at churches, in groups, and as individuals.’ As an annual national observance established in public law... Pray for America - Now!

You don’t have to look far to see the burdens and deep needs upon our beloved nation.  I believe you and I are living in an appointed period, unprecedented in our lifetimes in America. While it could be disheartening, consider that this country is home to our families, work life, and the religious liberty through which we as citizens have been blessed beyond comparison to life in most other nations. Therein lies the God opportunity for us now. The opportunity is prayer itself to our Lord God, Who really is ALL mighty.  Talking to Him, listening and obeying in response... Read more >>

Answer the Call - Stand in the Gap

In response to an address that the Reverend Billy Graham gave on the steps of the U.S. Capitol in February 1952, a bill calling for an annual National Day of Prayer was unanimously passed through Congress, then signed by President Harry Truman on April 17, 1952 (Public Law 82-324).                     On January 25, 1988, President Ronald Reagan signed into law the designation for the first Thursday in May to be set aside each year as an annual observance for the National Day of Prayer (Public Law 100-307), followed by President Bill Clinton signing... 23 Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; 24 But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the Lord. Jeremiah 9:23-24 Great God of creation. We bow before You boasting of Your greatness and Your glory. No one compares to You.  No one is Your equal. We look at Your creation and marvel at the infinite power and wisdom that are Yours.  Nothing is beyond Your reach. “You bring out... Read more >>

Dear Friends, What an honor it is to address you from my position as the Chairman of the National Day of Prayer Task Force!
